Spinal Trap:

Back 2 Good  (STB2G)

LEARN ABOUT THE MANY SAFE,

NATURAL, LOW-COST,

FAST-ACTING, EFFECTIVE SOLUTIONS

THAT I USE FOR A REDUCTION OF AND IN SOME SITUATIONS, BETTER RELIEF OF:

disabling severe chronic pain

in my Cervical and Lumbar Spines and Shoulder,

 anxiety, depression,

insomnia, spinal cord pain, muscle pain,

arthritis pain, a rotator cuff tear, bursitis,

brachial neuritis

& neuropathic pain such as sciatica!*

Like all who walk in these shoes,

I was alive without living

thanks to zero quality of life

from all of these chronic conditions** AND the

numerous side effects of prescription drugs commonly given for these deeply painful diagnoses.

Thanks to God, His herbs, and

music meditation,

I got Back 2 Good as naturally as I could by going herbal daily beginning in early 2012.

Doing so allowed me to eliminate 3 of my prescription drugs entirely and vastly reduce usage of the other 7!

What a health victory,

physically and spiritually!

Thanks to reading a Tyndale Life Application Study Bible (NLT) in 2015, I got Back 2 God to heal spiritually in a way that  I had never been prior, because you can't know what you don't know; and until I finally knew Almighty God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit personally thanks to Dr. Charles Stanley (In Touch Ministries) and then reading the whole Bible,

I didn't realize that God had let me become physically disabled because I was already spiritually disabled.

If you are alive without living thanks to

any or all of these physically and/or spiritually disabling health conditions

& their mood and mind-altering Rx's,

I created Spinal Trap so that

YOU TOO CAN GET Back 2 Good!

Don't have a lot of money or

health insurance?

All the more reason to learn about the              MANY COMMON LOW COST*

herbs, vitamins, and supplements!

Constipation

The Poopless Truth!

Systematic, Systemic Breakdowns:

DO NOT LET YOURSELF

OR YOUR DOCTORS,

GET YOU HERE.

Systematic, Systemic Breakdown

Chronic pain strips the body in so many ways

that the more deficient you become in various areas, the more you are allowing the likelihood of disease progression and/or systems that never troubled you before, to begin to fail.

Over 10 years of chronic pain, its inflammation and no longer being able to  do any of my former workout routines,

has taken its toll on my body.

Diabetes and Cholesterol has become a concern and my thyroid lab readings

are not the stuff

of which dreams are made.

You do not want to get here people.

Don't sit around and hope for the best, as I did for so (too) long.

People in chronic pain do not think well or clearly; and when you add multiple mind and mood-altering Rx's to them, it's a foregone conclusion that we are just going to be too dumbed down to think for ourselves.

Hence, relying on doctors to stop the madness of new health issues that are also foregone conclusions for chronic pain patients.

They have many answers, but not all.

And remember, they may be your only pain surgeon, neurologist, neurosurgeon, orthopaedic surgeon, etc...but you are NOT their only patient.

Bottom line: medical staff mistakes and oversights COST YOU, YOUR HEALTH.

PREVENT THAT BY SPEAKING UP

AND BEING A PROACTIVE PART

OF YOUR CARE TEAM!

The pathetic and unnecessary part of the numerous spin off health issues I have and/or have had as a result of chronic pain, inflammation and/or the myriad of pain pills and other prescriptions I took as the rule for the first 6+ years is that I did indeed complain consistently to every doctor I saw about the side effects of my pain pills, my main complaints being dizziness, nausea, and constipation.

Since I am not a doctor it took me almost 2.5 half years to finally realize that the reason I got diverticulitis in December of 2011 was in all likelihod due to the chronic constipation of the cheap nasty coding pain pills I'd been given as the role such as lortabs, norco, etc...

I asked a doctor in the summer of 2014 if that was a medical possibility?  He looked both surprised and impressed as he said "absolutely".

Until I was blessed to meet Dr. Matt Schocket of Capitol Pain Institute in Austin, TX in 2011, just one doctor in all of the years prior, tried to help me on the constipation issue by recommending that I take three OTC Docusate Sodium, every night at bedtime.  (Docusate sodium are stool softeners.)

(See column on left below to learn what pain Rx Dr. Schocket switched me to as soon as I told him of these same complaints that I'd made to at least a dozen or more, for over 5 years by the time I met him.)

The thing is, when you take codeine and it affects you as it did me, stool softeners simply aren't enough; a stick of dynamite was more what I needed!

Laxatives are NOT for chronic use either and I was advised against them due to my overall health.

Thus, my typical day for years, was to take horrible codeine,

get severely nauseated, sometimes throw up,

but usually not;

instead, I'd just stay nauseated.

Then, add severe constipation

to the picture and

what you have, is a person, whose body is filled with poisonous, harmful, toxins

that are TRAPPED!

With nowhere to go, they get absorbed into every cell and eventually, create a systematic, systemic breakdown. I.E. Where I am right now.

DON'T GET HERE!

The work of staying healthy is far less than that of getting back 2 good!

DO NOT let your doctors dismiss your VALID constipation complaints!

See below for more honest talk on this topic.

Nucynta 50mg

Nucynta was introduced to me by pain surgeon Dr. Matt Schocket of Capitol Pain Institute, in 2011.

I was in the midst of what became a year long moderate to severe pain flare up from hell.

I was working 50 hours a week average and driving a lot around Austin and to San Antonio and Dallas.

(Hence the realization of my need to change cars in order to maximize my physical comfort and reduce pain issues. Please see my "Pain Proofing Your Life" page for more vital info!)

I told Dr. Schocket, I can't continue on codeine because of multiple reasons, constipation and nausea aside, it makes me feel like my body is in one room and my head, is in the next. And now that my job had expanded into what it had, including driving to both San Antonio and Dallas (1.5-3 hours each way, respectively) I simply couldn't continue them.

He saved the day in recommending a new* pain pill:

Nucynta 50mg

WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!

Finally! After almost six years of pain pills, some genius made one so good that dynamite worthy constipation was not an issue with this narcotic!

AS IMPORTANTLY, THEY DID NOT MAKE ME NAUSEATED EITHER!!

This also meant ONE LESS pill for me because when I complained of nausea, doctors didn't hesitate to address that, by giving me a Promethazine 25mg Rx.

PEOPLE - THERE IS SOMETHING INHERENTLY WRONG WITH HAVING TO TAKE A PILL, TO FORCE OUR BODIES TO TAKE ANOTHER PILL!!!

Needless to say, I was

MUCH BETTER OFF!

Thing is, I don't remember if it was after 1 bottle of 90, or two, but I quickly grew a tolerance to it and had to go up to the 75mg dose. But that is common with all pain pills.

Although those too were good at not causing constipation and nausea, they did make me tired.  Thus, I cut them in half to reduce that issue, which did nothing for my pain...

For the record, since Nucynta is so good, it has a price tag that is unaffordable for the average disabled person if not working.

But the great news is that you can apply through the manufacturer's website to get them for free through their patient assistance program!  (See site link below.)

It cost me $242 out of pocket for 90 of the 50mg at Walgreen's and $262 for 90 of the 75mg dose.

And that was with their discount for joining their pharmacy discount plan!

Insurances don't want to pay for any high quality drug.

Thanks to Humana denying this Rx, I had to jump through their hoops and try both Hydromorphone 2mg and Oxycodone 5mg IMM REL first.

I have to say, Hydromorphone, even in this lowest dose, was the only pain pill I've ever taken, that no matter how severe my pain is, it knocks me out AND KEEPS ME OUT.

A blessing when in severe pain; but not a pill for someone who needs to function.

Oxy? I have NO CLUE what the fuss/abuse is about!

I didn't get as nauseated by it as I did codeine; but I did not stay on it as I did Dilaudid and Nucynta.

Bottom line:

If you are a chronic pain patient and constipation is one of your challenges,

DO NOT

ACCEPT IT.

Ask your dr. if Nucynta 50mg is an option for you.

GREAT NEWS ABOUT MY HAVING GONE HERBAL AS THE RULE FOR MY PAIN:

I no longer build tolerances and am able to be on the lowest doses of all of my pain and pain managment pills!

THAT IS A

HUGE VICTORY

IN THE PAIN GAME!

That's the purpose of Spinal Trap: Back 2 Good people, to help ALL OF YOU to learn from all that I have endured and learned so that you may enjoy faster and healthier victories too!

"You Need to Walk" says the doctor

And my reply in my head:

"You are sadly clueless about what it is truly like to live with chronic pain and nausea and dizziness from pain pills."

If my mood is extra bad, there is an expletive or two, or ten, woven into that sentence...I read the whole Bible in 2015 and have reduced my swearing to others and myself by about 99%!

I LOVE TO WALK and used to power walk 5 miles in 50 minutes, 5 and 6 days a week.

Thus, when a dr. tells me that I "need to walk", they have no idea how much they are ticking me off because I WANT TO FEEL WELL ENOUGH TO WALK!

I used to pull out my driver's license pic of me prior to getting injured and fat, and say to these clueless docs:

"I LOVE TO WALK and used to do 5 miles in 50 minutes, 5 & 6 days a week.  See how thin and happy I was?  I can't walk in pain and on pain pills that make me dizzy and nauseous. Any other suggestions?"

SILENCE is all I ever heard because even the best of doctors have NO CLUE how to help someone in these shoes.

Pain eats your energy, so eventually, I stopped pulling out my old DL and just stared at them silently as I had no energy to point out the obvious.

Not feeling well enough to walk regularly drives me insane.

I also swam laps for 45 minutes 3 days a week.

LOVED THAT EXERCISE!

Due to unresolved neck/shoulder damage, I can't.

Oh I've tried and I've ended up in a 2 week pain flare up that left me bedridden.

However, on my to do list is to try out an Endless Pool; I've just not had the opportunity yet. When I do, I will review it on my Pain Products page.

If you don't have chronic pain and want to get into great shape, buy the Bun and Thigh Roller with Arm Exercise Attachments!

Did that too, 5-6 days a week. LOVED IT!

It uses your own body strength to manipulate yourself and between swimming laps and this nifty little machine, my former PMS tummy was no more.

Warning: lay an old carpet remnant under it because it will both stain and wear your rug in the spot where you use it. This is a picture of it below, minus the arm attachments.

Diet modification? Check. Lost 12 pounds in 7 weeks, then plateaued.

Tell me, please, how does one lose weight when chronic pain vastly limits our ability to commit to ANY exercise routine, daily or even, regularly?

The Poopless Truth:

Pain pills constipate you.

Chronic pain leads to a sedentary life; being sedentary constipates you.

Pain pills that cause nausea and dizziness as well as severe pain that leads to bed rest, make a person unable to even commit to daily walking, which leads to constipation.

The perfect trifecta for not being able to poop, which in turn, will lead to toxicity in your cells, which will eventually lead to, more health problems and diseases.
